Look Out, Folks… I’m Growing Places!

It’s an exciting morning: I just sent in my application for Growing Places Indy’s 2013 summer apprenticeship program!

Some highlights:

  • 1,400 hours of hands-on farming work and education
  • 3,000 lbs. of food distribution
  • 650 hours of community engagement and experiential learning
  • 6,500 bicycling miles
20110710. just on the phone with my best friend, melba.

Doing my part: spreading gossip via my cucumber phone.

  1. LOL, Christie, you’re a hoot! And what a fantastic opportunity the apprenticeship program is! I’m positively green with envy.

    • I am sitting here, wracking my brain for some fantastic growing things puns, and I cannot come up with ANYthing! What is wrong with me?! Anyway, thank you – I’m super excited about it, and the people who run it are pretty amazing, too.

    • Pretty exciting! I’ll be meeting up with Laura and Tyler on April 1 to discuss our mutual goals. 🙂 And I’ve got some exciting irons in the fire at Fall Creek Gardens. Whee, spring!
